In the late 70's I realized I had some artistic ability and played around with pencil sketches of some neighborhood children -I also experimented with oils and gave a couple of very simplistic paintings to some family and friends. Upon my move to Michigan, I put my love of art on hold in order to raise my children and build a career in mortgage banking. Then in January of 2008, I had an overwhelming urge to paint so I purchased some supplies and started on a new venture. I love painting portraits, nature and landscapes, but I especially enjoy featuring children's portraits, as I love to capture their young spirits on the canvas.
I now reside in beautiful Lake Odessa, Michigan and work out of a small studio in my home which overlooks a serene lake.
I am a member of the National Portrait Society of America, President of the Mid-Michigan Art Guild, the Grand Valley Artists Association and the Juried OnLine Arts Festival.
